Bowls Big Weekend Sunday 26th May event

Our annual “Open Day” is on Sunday 26th May was unfortunately something of a wash out!

This is normally a fun day when we invite everyone and anyone to come along for a FREE game of “Bowls Bash”. Bowls Bash games are a simple fun game of Bowls which last just an hour with every player involved throughout. Drinks, Ice Creams and a BBQ are available.

However, don’t forget that you can play a fun game of Bowls Bash, with friends and family, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, or Sunday afternoons, for just £5.00pp or £2.00 for 12 to 17 year olds.

The 2024 season is well underway!

The Green is open and looking good!

Members are practicing  for this year’s competitions both internal club matches and the Swindon & District and Ashley Baker leagues.

For new comers and fun lovers, the 1 hour long Bowls Bash games can also be booked at www.play-bowls.com or e-mail email hidden; JavaScript is required for details. Adults are £5.00/game, Juniors (12 to 17) £2.00/game. Available for booking, Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday Afternoons.

The Green has been watered well over the preceding months so let’s hope for a sunny summer.

So many younger people are discovering the joy of Bowls particularly with the introduction of the new Bowls Bash format of the game. The Club offers reduced membership fees for young people accepted by the committee.

The health benefits of playing Bowls

There are many health benefits gained from playing Bowls. This is true for all ages but more specifically for the over 50’s.
